J&K: All four convicts who raped and killed Tabinda Gani in Kupwara in 2007 given death sentence

Kupwara: All four convicts in the rape and murder of 13-year-old school girl Tabinda Gani in Kupwara have been given death sentence by a local court in Jammu and Kashmir. The brutal rape and murder took place eight years back in 2007 when the four men brutalised the teenager when she was on her way back from her school.
The family of the victims had been demanding death sentence for the the convicts arguing that the crime falls under 'rarest of rare' category.
The convicts include Sadiq Mir, Azhar Ahmad Mir who are residents of Langate along with two non-locals - Mochi Jahangir Ansari of West Bengal and Suresh Kumar of Rajasthan.
