VISAKHAPATNAM:
In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped for
three days at Thadiveedhi near King George Hospital in the city. The
incident came to light when the girl managed to reach a window of the
house and cried for help. Locals found her with her hands and legs tied
and informed the cops on Saturday afternoon. The city police received a
call through the `DG Dial 100' service and the Two Town police rescued
the girl.
Deputy commissioner of police (zone-I law and order wing) C M Trivikram Varma told mediapersons that the victim was a Class VIII student residing with her grandparents at Tuni town of East Godavari district. After a fight with her grandparents, she went to Tirupati around 10 days ago to meet a friend, Prasad (21).
After staying in Tirupati with Prasad for five days, she returned to Tuni along with him. At Tuni railway station, T Veerababu joined them and promised to drop her at her grandparents' house but the duo took her to Vizag, where they kept her in Veerababu's house at Thadiveedhi.
